  • The deck of the Arizona is only a few feet under water.  The memorial is right on top of the deck of the ship.  This is one of the gun turrets.

  • The reason the battleship Missouri is docked behind the Arizona memorial, is because it is the ship all were aboard when the Japenese surrendered, so the Arizona was the start to the US in WWII and the Missouri was the end.
